Virtual "Hatha" Yoga Class

Thank you for joining last month's class. New date has been adding for this month's virtual yoga class. I look forward to having you. Our new class is "Hatha" yoga. We focus on the Hatha technique. Hatha yoga is a gentler form with a slower pace and a more meditative experience. It is a form that can be a good start for beginners.

What Is Hatha Yoga?

Hatha yoga is one of the oldest and most traditional forms of yoga. It’s all about creating balance between the body and mind through physical postures (called asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and sometimes meditation. The word "Hatha" comes from two Sanskrit words: "ha" (sun) and "tha" (moon) symbolizing the balance of opposite energies, like strength and softness, effort and ease.

Unlike fast-paced styles of yoga, Hatha is slower and more intentional. You move into poses gently, hold them longer, and focus deeply on your breath. It’s great for beginners or anyone who wants to reconnect with their body, reduce stress, and build a strong foundation for other types of yoga.

In a Hatha class, you’re not just working out, you’re working in.
