Mary makes Board of Directors for Visions and Pathways

Press Release: The members have voted Mary Love onto the Board of Directors for

Visions and Pathways!

Effective September 19, 2025, Mary Love now serves on the Board of Directors for Visions and Pathways, whose mission is to provide abused, neglected and homeless youth with

housing, a stable environment, and supportive services that guide them in becoming

self-sufficient. Founded in 1970, their organization has helped countless children and

youth aging out of foster care in New Jersey. They work closely with the New Jersey

Department of Children and Families (formerly DYFS). In the early 2000s, I lived in two

of Visions and Pathways' facilities, and I discuss my time there in Borrowed Wings: A

Memoir. After being held back twice in school for moving around in foster care, their

stable environment allowed me to finish on time and transition into college. I contacted

Visions and Pathways in 2020 to teach the youth yoga and meditation, and have been

involved wherever I could ever since. I was their guest speaker at the 2024 Spark Gala.

Mary says; This is a full-circle moment, but more importantly, I will serve as their youngest and

former resident of their facilities. It is my mission to provide a fresh perspective to the

board.

Stay tuned for more to come!
