Cryobiology Conference
This year I went to a few conferences that cover the most up-to-date happenings,
technology, and data from companies in the cell and gene therapy (also known as
immunotherapy) field. The most recent one covered cryobiology, the science of freezing
cells to perceive them in the best way possible. In the immunotherapy industry, we
analyze every nook and cranny of the journey of a cell, from its molecular level and
activity to the storage, to ensure we truly understand the products we manufacture.
It is truly outstanding that biopharma drugs took decades and billions of dollars to create
a synthetic drug, but we in immunotherapy are using cells to help other cells (us). Also,
it’s not taking us two decades. Our industry is booming, and the goal is patient access
that’s safe, affordable, and effective.
